Are my billing documents signed by a third party valid?
No. All billing documents must be certified and signed in the company's own name, never in the name of third parties, to retain their legal validity – according to the National Security Office's statement.

What documents should be signed?

- Companies that choose to send their invoices in PDF format by email instead of using paper;
- Companies that issue electronic invoices (in structured formats such as XML and other EDI models) that do not transact the documents in scenarios under the European EDI type agreement;
- Private and public companies that invoice Public Administration entities, namely in the CIUS-PT UBL 1.2 format.

PDF invoices are considered electronic invoices until June 30, 2022
THE Order No. 351/2021-XXII, of November 11, 2021, once again adjusts the deadline for submitting PDF invoices. Until June 30, 2022, PDF invoices may continue to be accepted in place of paper invoices, and will be considered electronic invoices for all purposes provided for by law.
Are advanced certificates suitable for signing?
From January 1st, for an invoice sent electronically to have evidentiary value for legal purposes, only qualified certificates can be used.
How do I check the legality of an invoice?
